As a founder faculty member of the Department I personally think that the establishment of this new Medical College is a great step forward for providing Tertiary healthcare to the patients in general and the rural areas in particular. This will greatly help the Health and Medical education Department to generate trained manpower to improve doctor: patient ratio and make available quality research to provide Evidence Based Medicine. I extend my warm welcome to one and all and solicit the cooperation of all Departments and general public to make this college a temple of healing and seat of learning. Our Vision statement for the Department is as under: Provide quality education and competency based learning in Students. Promoting safe and efficacious use of medicines at a cost the Community and the individuals can afford. Provide Pharmaco-vigilance services. Providing Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Services to end user Departments. Promotion of generic prescribing. Promotion of Rational Prescribing and drug use audit. Continuing Research for optimal use of Medicines which will be Evidence Based and tailor made. Curtailing drug abuse and drug de-addiction services. Continuing Medical Education.
